Dr. Nefertiti Makeda Chief Visionary and Founding Head Andinet International School in Ethiopia Nefertiti Makeda created a PreK-12 school nearly two decades ago that promotes global education. Teaching about world religions is an important element of learning how we are interconnected through time and space in a globalized society. Her goal is to initiate open dialogue that encourages acceptance and cultural awareness in schools and universities inside Ethiopia and beyond. Dr. Makeda’s M.Ed. and Ed.D studies focused on leadership and global education. Her dissertation topic was religious literacy in schools. Her accomplishments are her high school graduates who are accepted to great universities around the world.
