Rigoberto Banta Jr., known more as Rigo to his peers, currently works as an Assistant Programme Specialist at the UNESCO Asia-Pacific Centre of Education for International Understanding (APCEIU). His work focuses on strengthening partnerships and networks within UNESCO and beyond. In particular, Rigo is currently in charge with several programmatic areas that include the management of global and regional networks of institutions and organizations for the promotion of Global Citizenship Education. Previously, Rigo was a journalist and editor for a bilingual monthly magazine and was an adviser to the Seoul Metropolitan Government. He completed his master’s degree on public policy and undergraduate studies on economics.
